Week 3 of the Zone Pennants was completed last Saturday and, as is the case with our sport, there was the odd upset result. Closer inspection of the individual results may be made by researching the Zone web site under Pennant results.
It is obviously too early to make any predictions as to how the various Grades/Sections will pan out and a clearer picture may become apparent after Week 5 has been completed. Due to the vagaries of the draws for the 6 Grades, it is easier to use the term “week” as against “round”.
Fingers crossed that Mother Nature continues to smile upon our Competitions.
Meanwhile, the No.1 Grade continues in their own fashion, with some Clubs having played 5 matches, others 4 and so on. Interestingly, Tuncurry Beach has hit the front after playing 4 rounds and is well ahead of our Zone’s other Clubs – Forster & Taree West. Will the surge continue – only time will tell.
