This event was played at Forster Bowling Club last weekend. In fine but windy conditions on Saturday, George McCartney (Sporties), Phil Capes (TW), Keeden McGuire (FOR) and Jason Aurisch (BH) progressed to the semi-finals.
On Sunday morning the two semi-finals were extremely close. Keedon McGuire defeated Jason Aurisch 31-28 and in an even closer game Phil Capes came from the clouds to defeat George McCartney 31 -30 after being down 17-30.
In the final Keeden jumped out to an early lead, extending it to as many as ten shots. Phil showed his fighting spirit and did manage to close to within six. The margin did fluctuate, but Keeden showed immaculate weight control throughout to run out a worthy winner 30-20.
