It was bad enough receiving news of the passing of Neville Ruprecht of Lansdowne BC and then, 72 hours later, to learn that Vice President Stan Wilson passed away in his sleep last Friday night. The Manning District was stunned to hear the news, no more so than the District Executive and District Match Committee members.
Stan was more than a capable bowler, having skipped the winning RSL Fours team recently; he was an integral part of the District Executive whose input was valued and Chairman of the MDBA Match Committee, where he very capably handled his responsibility in this sensitive area, always viewing matters from a District perspective which is ever required.
His presence, thoughtful comments and contributions to the MDBA will be sorely missed, personally and as part of a team.
