At the just completed State Championships our bowlers have come away with some mixed results.

The best effort was by Wayne Wright and Kevin Robinson (Tuncurry Beach) who were runners-up in the State Senior Pairs. After wins of 27-8 (Wagga Rules), 19-9 (Harbord) and 19-9 (Narooma), they were defeated 9-20 in the final by Engadine.

Another good result was in the fours where Lewis Williams, Rex Johnston, Steve Harris and Kevin Robinson (Tuncurry Beach) were defeated in the semi-final. After wins of 18-16 (Terrigal) and 25-21 (Penrith) they were defeated 23-26 by Belrose.

Other results were : 

Singles – Steve Harris (Open) and Rex Johnston (Senior) were defeated in the quarters.

Open Pairs – Brett English and Jason Aurisch (Blackhead), defeated first round

Triples – Peter Woolley, Warren Cocksedge and Bill Brett (Leagues), defeated first round

Presidents Reserve – Singles – Jarrod Small (Tuncurry Beach) and Pairs – Mick Stanbury and Wayne O’Neill (Lanswdowne) were all defeated in the quarters.
