Steve Barnard backed up his good form in the singles, where he reached the semi final, when he paired up with Matthew Tang (Taree West) to take out the pairs final. They won all three of their section games to progress straight to the final. The winners of the other two sections then had to meet in a semi, where Jeffrey Brown and Donald Brooks (Taree West) were 14/9 winners over Paul Wheatley and Michael Collins (Pacific Palms). In the final Tang and Barnard had a comfortable 20/4 win over their Taree West club mates .
