The annual Dooker Eggart Fixture was conducted at Wauchope Country Club yesterday, Sunday, this year being the first time the matches where played between Zone 11 and Zone 14. Previous years saw the Fixture played between MDBA and LNCDBA, as both Districts were the genesis of the annual get together for the respective shields.
MDBA had proved quite successful during the past three years, winning the three Trophies for the Open, Senior and Junior Sides each year. However, on Sunday, that run came to a halt, with Zone 14 winning the Senior Trophy by some 5 shots and the Junior Trophy quite comfortably.
Congratulations are extended to our Open Side players and commiserations to the Senior and Junior Sides – there is always next year.
Zone 14 are to be congratulated on winning two of the Trophies and Wauchope Country Club is to be congratulated on producing two excellent greens for the Fixtures.
