Following the completion of their District Championships, our Champions – Ryan McGuire, Alex Hicks, Luke Agar and Caleb Haynes – travelled to Bulahdelah Bowling Club to contest the Zone Junior Championships against the Hunter District Champions, on Saturday & Sunday, 16th & 17th May. The Upper Hunter District did not have any Junior bowlers’ this year.
While, in the main, the weather held, unfortunately success did not favour our guys, with the Hunter District representatives winning the three Championships. Our lads are to be congratulated on their efforts, contending until the last bowl was played. The MDBA wishes the Hunter District players the very best of luck in the State Titles at Warilla in July.
