The district triples championships got under way over the weekend at Tuncurry Beach and Forster bowling clubs. Under clear skies over the weekend we got down to the final four teams ready for the semi finals and final to be held this coming weekend. And with the match ups it would be safe to say there will be some cracker games.
In one semi we have, in his first championship in his new district, Foster B.C bowls coordinator Tim Farrell and co, facing off against the “underdog ” side headed by Tom Moore from Wingham. Both these side have over come some formidable opposition on their way to the semis and both will be fighting hard for a spot in the final.
The other semi will be a rematch of last years final, when Tuncurry Beach B.C. club mates Martin Gosper and Steve Harris face each other, again, this time to see who can make the final. Both men having new players with them this could prove to be a match to watch.
