This was an all Forster affair between the teams of Heath McGuire & Clinton Doust against Dave Ireland & Rod McMillan.
Although Heath & Clinton were probably favourites going into this match, Dave & Rod were putting up plenty of fight and after 5 ends the scores were all locked up at 5-5. Heath & Clinton then put the foot down and won 4 ends on the trot to grab a 12-5 lead. Dave & Rod then stemmed the flow a little and trailed by just 4 shots at 13-9, but then dropped a 4 on end 13 and the score was out to 17-9. Again they pegged a few back with successive scores of 1 and 3 on ends 17 and 18 to trail by just 3 at 21-18. Heath & Clinton then put this game to bed with a 4 and 1 on the last 2 ends to run out 26-18 winners.
