On Saturday 17th September the Zone Rookie Pairs was played in perfect conditions at Forster BC. Although these players are relatively new to our game, they should be proud of the skills that were displayed. Winners are grinners and the grinners here are Norm Copeland and John Lee (TL) who defeated Guy Rowe and Robert Taylor (BUL) in the final. After getting out to an early lead this was gradually whittled away until scoring a five near the end to seal their win. Congratulations to the winners and good luck in the state finals at Raymond Terrace BC in October.
