This Saturday and Sunday (26 – 27 Sep), is a big weekend of bowls in the Hunter District, with the Zone finals of the NSW Rookies and Champion of Club Champions fixtures to be decided.
At Maitland City BC on Saturday, Dylan Riley (TBBC) will be playing for the C of C Singles title, while Steve Mathieson & Tom Moore (W) will be playing for the C of C Pairs title.
At East Cessnock BC, the Rookies Zone titles will be decided. In the singles, we have Stephen Phillips & Norm Copeland (TL) in a round robin to decide the Zone champion and, in the Pairs, Rodney Wykes & Stephen Root (H) will be playing a round robin for the Zone title.
The District wishes the four bowlers’ every success in their matches. The Zone winners will play for the State titles at Raymond Terrace BC on 17th & 18th October.
