Wingham have been granted an 11th hour pass into the State Pennant Play-offs in the fives. After the original winners, from Greta Workers Club, were disqualified for playing two ineligible player through their district pennant season and then into the Zone 6 play-offs on the 28th and 29th of June Wingham became the Victors.
This will now see three manning side competing for the glory of flying a state flag. Wingham’s fives will now join their twos side and Tuncurrys ones in heading to the play-off . The fives go out to Tamworth, The twos to Port Macquarie and the ones to Belrose. The District wishes all the boys competing in the play-offs all the very best. It is also encouraged that as many spectators as possible from the district head out and support these club in their efforts.
